About Me
I'm not particularly good at talking about myself, but to help you get to know me, let me share a little about my background.
Education
I graduated from Istanbul Commerce University's Faculty of Communication in 2007 with a degree in Visual Communication Design. In 2010, I began a Master's degree in Advertising and Promotion at Marmara University, but did not complete it.
Career
My journey in design began in 2004 as a design intern at Cen Ajans, a leading advertising agency. Over the years, I had the opportunity to work at some of Turkey's top advertising agencies, collaborating with the country's biggest brands.
My passion for digital platforms started even earlier: my first website was a Slayer fan page, which I built in 1999. Since then, I've always been driven to design engaging digital experiences. Throughout my career, I've been fortunate to bring to life many first-of-their-kind digital platforms in Turkey, contributing to over 100 digital projects.
In 2018, I co-founded Things (opens in a new tab) with my longtime friend and university colleague Gökhan Akıncı. Since then, we have been providing UX and digital design services to companies worldwide. The services I offer fall under Things' expertise, and whenever needed, I collaborate with Things' resources to deliver the best possible outcomes.
Since 2026, I've also been working at Globalmeta (opens in a new tab) as Design Partner, where we design our own digital products.
My Perspective on UX
User experience is a constantly evolving field. Not long ago, we were primarily focused on human-computer interaction, but today, human-AI interaction is also a key consideration. Similarly, while we have traditionally designed experiences for users, AI agents may soon become an integral part of the UX landscape.
So far, I've conducted over 4,000 user interviews and continue to engage with users regularly. The insights gathered from these interviews are transformed into measurable UX principles and structured design methodologies, allowing me to approach UX with a rational and methodical mindset.
